If for example your dog has a history of biting or being vicious, then I'm afraid we can't help.
If you want us to drop everything and come and collect your dog, then again, i'm afraid we may not be able to help you, although this isn't always the case.
We rehome all dogs 'off the ground' that is to say the dogs stay with their existing owners until a new home is found for them. It works this way for a number of reasons, but most importantly as this way is better for the dog as they don't have to be moved from pillar to post before settling into a new home.
There is also the financial side to consider as well, the JAWT does not currently have its own kennels as the cost of running these is prohibitive, and no matter how many kennels we build, they would be filled up in no time and we'd be back at square one with no spaces available in a very short space of time.

JAWT 630 Jade
Jade is a lovely girl of just 2 years old who found herself unclaimed in the pound.
Jade was quite nervous and timid on first arrival but soon settled in and is now a firm favourite with the kennel staff!
look how she gives paw! another girl just so eager to please, she has a good level of training and knows quite a few commands, as we know very little about her background she would need to be placed in a home with older children only please get in touch if she is the girl for you
JAWT 592 - Sasha
Wow! This GORGEOUS girl is around 3 years old and saved from being put to sleep in a pound in Ireland. She is safe and based in foster care in Oswestry.
She has been a loving affectionate girl to all who have met her from when she was in the pound, moved to boarding kennels, transported over till here in foster. She loves to play but she adores a real good fuss.
She is proving to be good around other dogs, untried with cats and no young children due to lack of history! More information will follow as she settles in her foster home but she does need a home of her own. Potentially with a male companion too.

JAWT 609 (a) - Brogan
Introducing Brogan! This beauty is 6 years old and based in Derbyshire. He is seeking a new home through no fault of his own.
Brogan currently lives with another akita (JAWT 609 b - Cara) and we would like them rehomed together ideally as they do not like to be apart. He will not be placed with young children or cats though.
He is a fun loving boy who is happy to be groomed and fussed. He`s strong on the lead so we do ask for experience of owning large breeds previously before thinking of adopting Brogan. Please get in touch if you think you can offer Brogan a home.
Suki is a mild mannered lady of 7 years old who is currently based in Sheffield. She is seeking a new forever home due to the impending immigration plans for her current owners.
Although she has lived with other dogs, we feel she needs to be the only dog in the household. She is used to children of varying ages also. Suki likes a fuss and is very gentle when taking treats etc.

JAWT 632 Koko
Koko is a gorgeous sweet tempered young girl of around 9 months old.
She has had a bad start to life and needs a committed owner who will allow her time to settle and understand that she can be a little nervous.
Koko becomes attached to people very quickly and is such an affectionate girl, she is currently in kennels in Northumberland where she has been under going assessment for a couple of months. Koko is lovely on her lead and just an excitable pup really! she is good with all the other dogs she has met and didnt even mind a big AMbulldog with bad manners flattening her!
we are hopeful that she will go into a foster home if not rehomed quickly - kennels is no place for such a sweet young girl!
JAWT 579 - Bear
This hunk is called Bear and is boarding in kennels in South Wales.
He is around 7 years old and an absolute darling of a boy. He is bombproof around other dogs and walks well on the lead. Not tested with cats and due to being a stray with no history will only be placed with older dog savvy children.
He has been a gem in the kennels and very well behaved, a real gent by all accounts. He just needs to find himself a loving home to call his own.

Kessie has come back under JAWT care as her home has not worked out
Kessie is a fantastic young girl of around 14 months, originally a stray she came into JAWT care a few months ago, Kessie is a gorgeous girl who was found starving, as such she has a few issues around food which will need to be managed properly..Please dont let this put you off her, its very easily manageable by removing food off kitchen work tops!
