Area Co-Ordinator Profile Application PDF Print
Currently not all areas of the country are covered by one of our are co-ordinators, so, if your area isn't covered and you feel you would like to help us and become a trustee or co-ordinator please download, complete and return the form found here.

This document once completed, should be returned to the trust at the address below:

THE JAPANESE AKITA WELFARE TRUST
Mudds Old Farm
Mudds Drove
Threeholes
Cambridgeshire, PE14 9JU

Thank you for showing an interest in becoming a local area co-ordinator for the Japanese Akita Welfare Trust (JAWT).
As you will no doubt already be aware, the trust is a charitable organisation dedicated to the rescue, welfare, re-homing and protection of the Akita breed in the UK and relies completely on the charitable donations of time and money offered by lovers of the breed.

The co-ordinators role, primarily, is to help us in the vetting of the applicants we receive looking to re-home one of the dogs we have on our rescue list, in order to ensure that they are made fully aware of the responsibilities they will face on adoption, as well as ensuring their property is suitably secure for the housing of an Akita.
An area co-ordinator may also be called upon to visit a dog in their area that requires re-homing in order to help us fully understand the dogs nature and requirements prior to rehoming.

There are obviously other areas in which a co-ordinator can help the trust (depended on circumstances) which include the fostering of animals, fund raising and the offering of advice to other Akita owners in their area.
Overleaf you will find a copy of the current co-ordinators application form, and I would ask you to complete this, advising of any areas you feel you can offer the trust some help.

Thank you once again for your interest in becoming an area co-ordinator for the JAWT.
