Nori and Foggy are both on a completely raw diet - chicken, lamb, turkey, fish, veg, yoghurt, eggs and offal.

I don't bother with proper beds, as such, they have plastic beds but prefer to sleep on the floor or my lap. We have shop called Jysk and they do single quilts for £2.99 so I have one each for their beds, another one for the car and one for the living room floor (to save my poor carpet from the fur and muddy paws). Foggy has been crated at times and so has Nori. Nori probably will be again once we have decorated and furnished the dining room again as the last time she ate the contents of the room

Insurance is with Sainsburys and Nori costs £13.00 per month.

Vets bills vary vastly depending on where you are in the country and who you go to - best advise - shop around ring your local vets and get quotes for annual innoculations, consultation fees etc.

Nori is walked for a minimum of an hour every day with extra walks when I have time.

Ace & Nara are on James Wellbeloved, depending on where I buy it ranges from £35 - £43 per 15kg bags that does them a month as they have rice with Tuna or white fish for evening meals when they have been good (yes they only get spoiled for being good )

The insurance costs me about £30 per month for both of the little angels.

Dog bed £195 for a replacement sofa the old one wouldn't fit in the house so found a great one a furniture village which was scratched on the arms, but as it gets covered and its for the dogs it cheaper than buying a chew resistance bed for both of them as Nara likes to de stuff everything. (yes they are spoiled in that respect otherwise they get on the £1000.00 sofa and rip the leather.)

I also buy about 3 packs a month of rawhide chews to keep the remotes safe about £7.99 for 4.

It all depends on your means, they are like my children so I can't help but lavish them with every luxury, however if there was a hiccup in my life I would cut back on the extra treats as they would have my undivided attention as they have a mum that works from home at times they need to be shut out of the office so I can conduct conference calls without the sound of playing dogs in the background

Lol at conference calls situation, Richard sometimes works from home and has to explain the background "woooooooo`s" during such calls...

Move went well, although Nara is back to weeing and pooing in the wrong places don't take much to confuse her, she'll be out in the garden for over an hour come in and poo in one of the girls bedrooms..nice. So new stock of puppy pads and making a trail round the house till i get her downstairs and out of the backdoor again.

Ace is happy enough, wee bit cold seeing as he blew his whole coat before the snow.

I have never sat down and done the maths!! Our bundle of fun arrived in the family thanks to our son. Needles to say, WE buy the food , remember to feed her etc

She is so much fun, cost doesn't seem to come in to it.!

OK, so she WON'T come back when called - but out in the field you have to give it a go, for the benefit of other dog walkers

I do let her off the lead in the field - I feel she needs to have a good run. The field is enclosed and I risk it when there are no other dogs or others who love to play rough!

Also, when she pulls the extending lead out of my hand

She loves the snow and seems to eat a LOT of it - cheaper than dog food!

Like our collie cross, she craves human food - just a little with her dry food. I don't use much salt when cooking.

She is looking good -apart from having a Mohican strip of hair down her back at the moment. She has been shedding fur for a few weeks.

I have my 5 month old Akita puppy Kiesha insured with Sainsburys and i pay £13 a month,that covers her up to £7,000 per condition, also they dont have an age limit,they will insure her to whatever age she is.I feed her on Hills Science Plan Large Breed Puppy and it works out at £29.99 for 12kg bag and it is
working out at 56 pence a week.The injections are around £30 a year worming tablets £2.50 each month up to six months then just once every 6 months.The cost is not a lot more than any other breed, if you love your dog,you pay what is needed at the time and they reward you many times over, money is not the object here,you cant buy the love of a wonderful bear.
