Do you think if Bonnie flutters her eyelashes we'll get a discount? lol £20.00 a night is very reasonable - only thing is we cannot leave Bonnie and Noah unattended on their own together - they are fine together but sometimes Noah pushes it and Bonnie goes for him.
Found a scab on his neck the other day, Bonnie must have caught him I didn't even know - I felt awful! x

Awww poor Diesel - he has to handle 2 of them - Tia he may be able to handle (sort of) but Grace - hahahahahahahahahaha! No way!
I sit there at times feeling under his chin and pulling clumps of dirt out, I think it's like food etc that he has dribbled and gone into his fur and onto his skin, it's minging, lol. I panicked at first thinking they were ticks! Thank god - it was just dirt - mucky pup!
Hmmm, I think I will book Noah in for his first proper grooming session soon - not sure if the groomers will be able to handle him, he certainly couldn't be in the same vicinity as other dogs - eek! x

The kennels where i got Boo from are very cheap, but they are in Harlow Essex, i have a holiday booked for the end of August so hopefully Boo and Blade will be used to each other by then, it has only been the 4th day and now they are together with no muzzle (well Blade is, the little bitch lol if/when she starts muzzle on and in the naughty room for 5mins)
I work in a kennels and have been in the same kennels for 5 years. The staff are great and i can't see myself working in any other kennel. As staff hearing the horror stories of the local kennels we have sneakily looked around others and have been horrified. You all do well to be careful and find the perfect one for you. They are out there. Most of you are up north so this wont help you as im south east.
All i can say is, if you need an appointment to look round, don't bother. If they have space for your dogs close to school holidays and christmas then ask yourself why. If in a large kennels they claim to walk every dog, they are lying or get not one bit of sleep. We have 60 kennels and use individual exercise areas, this is the only way to be able to exercise and keep the kennels at the extremely high level of cleanliness we like to maintain. I understand some kennels have dog trainers as staff but most dont so i fail to see how a kennel maid could walk so many strong dogs at once which would be needed to complete the days tasks.
We also provide the dogs own diet included in the price. We do not use a generic food as i have seen in other places, and in a previous thread where an akita was being fed greyhound food. We cannot cater for veterinary diets (as they are prescription) or feed human food. People do bring in their own food for us to freeze or store. You'd be amazed at the dogs that get wetabix for breakfast or rice pudding.
Oh and brogan does not bark and has been in kennels since i got him so no adverse affect there.
There are good kennels out there. Just look around a hundred to find that one. You'll be glad you put the leg work in.
