...I dread to think
Vets do annoy me the way they see patients as cash cows as Sam says, I rang Zeke's hospital yesterday to check if we can put him on Pro-kolin syringe, £13 a tube to clear up his persistent diarrhea this week.
What did I get told he needed?
-admittence to hospital to check his white blood cell count(FULL hematology check then!)and day care - at a fee.
-his poo sent off to check for infection
-antibiotics
-his temp checking (despite being fine in himself)
Err - NO! He was due at the vets today (who i actually trust)
anyway for his weekly white blood cell count, and I picked up a tube of Pro-Kolin, the nurse told me she wouldn't do his temp up his bum because she could see I was happy that he is fine in himself - he hates it and the poor lads got the sh*ts for gods sake! If his diarrhea doesn't clear up then to take a sample in on Monday. Better

.
You panic at first with something like Cancer but after a while I really can start to see some of the excessive extra treatments and tests they try on. Worse when they're insured. Now his insurance has ran out maybe they'll be more selective!
