Hi. This is my first visit and message. I hav a 6 yr old female Akita called Kita. I love her so much but wish I could take her out off the lead and let her play
Like I see other dogs play. But she wants to fight every dog in sight. Can this change?

hi and welcome!

not sure about it changing to the point where you could trust her off lead.. i have two, one is fine with other dogs but no recall and the other a horror bag!
i have worked with Thor to make him more aceptable with other dogs, but would never trust him off lead around them!

Find somewhere enclosed, tend to be small areas though and take a friend to cover the exit if you can.

Could always run with them, CaniX.

I can only let one of my two off when out and about, but always weary even when I can see for 1/2 mile in every direction.

If in doubt keep her on the lead, if the worst happens the law invariably goes against a large dog even if unprovoked, if off the lead.

Where abouts do you live? Im sure we can sort a social out for you both. 'OH' who owns Teko, we've only had him 4 weeks, does a great recall. My Kira, well is selective hearing but she comes back eventually. However, meeting other dogs depends on the breed of dog (hate spaniels) and if the 'other dog' is a whimpering wreck who they see as the 'runt'.

Hi. We do not let ours off lead. Akitas are not known for their recall. (There are the odd exception) We use 50ft lines so they can run but not run off.
The aggressive behaviour can be tackled with socialisation and training classes.
Can we have some pictures??

Welcome aboard!!

Agree with others, any sign of a problem then do not allow any dog off lead, lunge lines are a great way of allowing dogs lots of freedom whilst still under control.
